Propagation Associate I (Weekend)

The Cultivation Propagation Associate is responsible for supporting and assisting the Propagation Supervisor(s) and Manager in all aspects of cannabis plant management within the department. This position will be responsible for all parts of clone propagation, including mother plant care, health evaluation of stock plants and clones, while ensuring all strains grow according to company standards. Priorities include super cropping, topping, feeding, conducting rooted cuttings, acclimating rooted clones for transplant into production rooms, and transplanting stock plats while maintaining the environmental conditions of the clone room(s).  

AVAILABILITY - Weekends required (Wednesday - Sunday 7AM - 3:30 PM) 
 
COMPENSATION  - Starting at $17/hr; DOE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with proper maintenance of mother plants and cloning development procedures for future crops 
  • Breed, clone feed, transplant, prune, maintain, and monitor plants according to cultivar specific protocols 
  • Perform all day-to-day plant routine maintenance throughout propagation room 
  • Conduct routine cleaning tasks to ensure a clean and tidy work area 
  • Assist in other duties assigned to ensure the team, department, and company division maintain success 
  • Regularly update logs pertinent to the job scope

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Hands-on, plant touching position 
  • Indoor greenhouse environment with heat and humidity 
  • Constant artificial, bright indoor lighting 
  • Plant pollen is present on surfaces and in the air 
  • Kneeling, squatting, lifting, bending, walking, pivoting, standing all expected activities 
  • Protective suits may be required (provided on site)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Horticulture and/or Agriculture Experience, 1+ years (preferred) 
  • Production/Manufacturing Experience, 1+ years (preferred) 
  • Cannabis Industry Experience (preferred) 
  • Basic Math, Organizational, and Computer Skills 
  • Dispensing Organization Agent Identification Card (able to obtain upon hire) 
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED
