Production Extraction Supervisor

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Extraction Supervisor collaborates with the Extraction Manager to ensure all the daily tasks of the department get properly executed. This position requires a leader that has strong experience with lab production of high-quality concentrates and extracts including the purification, separation, and isolation of various compounds of cannabis. Priorities include providing full support to the team including assistance with rest/lunch breaks and execution of all department processes. The Extraction Supervisor will serve as the point of contact of all departmental staff (while working) and must collaborate with the Extraction Manager to ensure all employee needs are handled proactively while helping maintain high team morale.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ·         Master and monitor various techniques for cannabis extraction and infusion through all stages of production 
  • ·         Perform extraction firsthand including ethanol and butane extraction, filtration, evaporation, distillation, and other post-extraction techniques.
  • ·         Perform routine quality control, calibration, and maintenance in accordance with established company protocol 
  • ·         Monitors the proper and safe operation of all extraction machines, equipment, and laboratory instruments 
  • ·         Act as primary lead in all training needs of the department’s staff 
  • ·         Delegate and coach,the team while maintaining a hands-on “lead by example” approach 
  • ·         Maintain a high level of communication with other departments focusing on efficiency and productivity 
  • ·         Implement and supervise all company and facility policies and procedures 
  • ·         Ensure the team supports all financial and operational goals of the department 
  • ·         Ensure all areas, stations and processes of the department comply with all local and state regulations 
  • ·         Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed by all employees and visitors 
  • ·         Adapt and support all changes in business needs and product flow 
  • ·         Promote a respectful work environment in daily actions with all employees and job tasks as the #1 priority 
  • ·         Follow reasonable instructions from leadership team showing flexibility with all delegated tasks 
  • ·         Contribute to the team morale by ensuring the highest level of engagement is consistently applied 
  • ·         Assist in other duties as assigned to ensure the team, department, and company division maintain success

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • ·         Hands-on, cannabis production and delivery position
  • ·         You will be working in an indoor production, warehouse-like environment and in a delivery vehicle
  • ·         Rooms are industrially lit and feature heavy machinery always sounds
  • ·         Delivery van seats two
  • ·         Kneeling, squatting, lifting, bending, walking, pivoting, standing all expected activities
  • ·         Expect to lift to 100 lbs. to load and unload transfer vehicles

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • ·         Professional experience in inventory, delivery, or related position
  • ·         Organization, systems management, and integrity
  • ·         Willing to ask questions to gain necessary expertise
  • ·         Adaptability in the face of changing needs of the business

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Laboratory Experience, 2+ years (preferred) 
  • Production / Manufacturing Experience, 2+ years preferred) 
  • Supervisor Experience, 1+ years (preferred) 
  • Cannabis Industry Experience, 1+ years 
  • Advanced Communication, Math, Organizational, and Computer Skills 
  • Dispensing Organization Agent Identification Card (able to obtain) 
  • Associate Degree or Industry Training Equivalent
