Cannabis Conversion Associate

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • The Cannabis Conversion Associate is responsible for supporting and assisting the Conversion Supervisor(s) and Manager in all aspects of product handling within the division. This position will be responsible for completing a variety of assigned regulatory and compliance related tasks. Priorities include creating labels, auditing packaging goods, and entering conversions into seed-to-sale software using a variety of live spreadsheets.

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:30AM - 5:00PM

COMPENSATION

  • $18 - $20, experience dependent

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow all procedures according to local and state regulations and company policies
  • Maintaining operational excellence at all workstations/areas
  • Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed
  • Adapt to all changes in business needs and product flow
  • Follow reasonable instructions from leadership team showing flexibility with all delegated tasks
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Create and distribute label templates for all production departments on a daily basis ensuring language and packaging compliance
  • Process and complete all product conversions using a multi-feature seed-to-sale software such as METRC and BioTrack
  • Adapt to new software programs and processes quickly and accurately including Zebra Designer 3
  • Proofread and update important documents containing regulatory language
  • Collaborate with all Department Managers to ensure all SOPs are up-to-date and in compliance
  • Conduct daily and monthly audits of raw and packaged products throughout the manufacturing stages
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy involving all product tracking, product security, and product movement procedures in accordance with state with local and state regulations

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Hands-on, cannabis production position
  • Indoor production, warehouse-like environment
  • Constant artificial, bright indoor lighting 
  • Heavy machinery sounds at times
  • Kneeling, squatting, lifting, bending, walking, pivoting, standing all expected activities
  • Plant pollen is present on surfaces and in the air, extraction fumes may also be present

  • *NOTE: The facility contains confined spaces that may only be accessible by ascending/descending stairwells while traveling throughout building. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Quick counting capabilities  
  • Professional experience in a fast paced, hands-on work environment  
  • Willing to ask questions to gain necessary expertise   
  • Adaptability in the face of changing needs of the business    
  • Able to clearly communicate progress, status, and observations  
  • Ability to work, manage, and meet completion deadlines 
  • Ability to work independently

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic Math, Organizational, and Computer Skills 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Digital System Management Experience, 1+ years (preferred)
  • Production / Manufacturing Experience, 1+ years preferred)
  • Cannabis Industry Experience, 1+ years (preferred)
  • Dispensing Organization Agent Identification Card (obtained upon hire)
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED
